Get to know the Takler Winery
Our family has been cultivating vineyards and producing wine in the Szekszárd Wine Region for more than three centuries. This historic wine region boasts a winemaking tradition spanning over 2,000 years.
Like many other winemaking families in the region, our ancestors settled in Szekszárd during the reign of Empress Maria Theresa as part of her settlement policy in the 18th century. Following the challenges of history, we began building our present-day family winery in 1987 and have continued to develop it ever since. Today, the winery is managed by three family members: Ferenc Takler and his two sons, Ferenc Jr. and András.
